Barneys New York | Jay Z - “A New York Holiday”
Jay Z collaborates with Barneys to bring limited edition designer products for the holiday season. Available on November 20 in store and online, the minimal collection includes: Belenciaga black leather backpack, a black square print scarf from Balmain, tailored jacket from Lanvin, black hoodie from Rick Owens and an 18-karat-gold double ring from Hoorsenbuhs.
Barneys took Jay’s “feedback and proposed designers to bring his ideas to life”. This is not Jay Z’s first incursion to fashion. He created Rocawear along with Damon Dash and is still going strong today.
Zane Lowe | Kanye West - BBC Radio 1 Interview Part IV
Zane Lowe | Kanye West - BBC Radio 1 Interview Part III
Drake’s new album released this week, and having had a chance to play through it a few times, I have to say, it’s definitely a true drizzy album.
There is however more rap & hip hop in this album…unlike his last one which was more R&B… I actually like both his styles and am loving a lot of these new tracks.
My favorite tracks right now are The Language (this is everything that I love about Drake)… and Pound Cake (a collaboration with JayZ and it is awesome)… also love Come Thru and Wu-Tang Forever.. all classic Drake styles but sonically are fun to listen to.
Nothing Was The Same.. one of my favs for the year.
Zane Lowe | Kanye West - BBC Radio 1 Interview Part II
As promised, we have the second installment of the four-part interview with Kanye West. West goes on to vent with great emotion and elaborates why him and corporate America do not mix and aspires to be the “anchor” to the first trillion dollar company.
We will have the third part of this interview tomorrow.
Zane Lowe | Kanye West - BBC Radio 1 Interview
Zane Lowe, from BBC Radio One, sat down for an hour long interview with Kanye West. The interview starts with a nice calm tone with no signs of “aggressive” Kanye.
However, at the 12:50 mark he goes off and after the interview, Lowe called it “the most intense interview of [his] life.”
With Paris Fashion Week starting today, 9/24/13, Kanye calls out Hedi Slimane, a fashion French designer and creative director for Dior Homme.
It has been said that West wrote the track “I Am God” in Paris last year after Slimane told West he could only attend his first show at Saint Laurent if he did not attend any others.
We will post Part 2 of the 4 part interview later on today when BBC Radio One gives it the green light.
Pusha T | “Nosetaligia” feat. Kendrick Lamar
Pusha T’s solo debut album “My Name Is My Name” is scheduled to release on October 8th. Today he gave DJ Funk Flex from Hot 97, the green light to share a cut from his new album. The track Nosetalgia produced by Nottz gets the assist from Kendrick Lamar.
The Weeknd comes to Berkeley for his Kiss Land tour! I actually never had been to a concert at the Greek in Berkeley, and it was absolutely amazing. Abel sounds exactly the same live and in the studio…and the production and lights fit the mood perfectly.
One thing that did bother me, was his transformation of all his songs into high energy pop music. The Weeknd’s music is best known for it’s mellow and drug infused high notes and melodic moans, but at the concert all of his songs were sung in a much happier note… kind of ruins a few songs.
All around a fantastic show and Kiss Land the album is another hit!
Big Sean’s new album is slated to release on August 27th. He dropped the track “Control” via Twitter last night. This song did not make it on the album due to his label’s request.
Kendrick Lamar’s verse definitely took the crown as he calls out numerous rappers, “I got love for you all but I’m tryin’ to murder you ni**as.” And even calls himself the “king of New York” even though we all know he’s from Compton, California.
Kendrick is giving the people what they want and boxing the competition into a corner. Ready…fight.
Air Jordan IV Retro “Green Glow” | A Closer Look
With a slated release date of August 17th, the gray gradient down to black and mint adds a nice touch to the shoe.
